George Strasburger was born in a working-class neighborhood in Scranton, Pennsylvania in 1957. He attended Catholic schools, a public high school and Kutztown State College where he was an art major. From an early age, he drew with enthusiasm.
At age 17, George moved to New York City, and over the next 25 years lived there, Boulder, Colorado, and Tucson, Arizona; all the while creating art, and pursuing an interest in classical guitar and gardening.
In 1992, George returned to Scranton, where he enjoys his family, the Pennsylvania landscape and devotion to his art.
